Are you listening? asked the subconscious mind,
To new lessons, ideas, perceptions,
Know why you have been lagging behind?
Stocked up in haughtiness, every now and then mentions,
Do you have some more to learn?
Living with a false sense of self and belief,
Sailing through the blissful coral reefs,
Like darkness and ignorance sunk deep,
Singing lullaby to erudition till its asleep.
Do you have some more to learn?
Bow down to the master, to learn to imbue,
So many try to teach you, in ways umpteen,
With freshness of morning coffee brew,
Towards serial daftness did you love to lean?
Do you have some more to learn?
Did you know it all? and stay in your small kingdom,
Ruled by pettiness arising from boredom,
Parading in your fallacies,
You missed the life’s delicacies,
And it haunts you like a phantom.
Do you have some more to learn?
Adamance and arrogance everyday meet,
Clamoring and tattling like a bleat,
With no ray of light or a new thought,
Flash mob in the mind of a zealot.
Do you have some more to learn?
To quiet the rush within,
To see beyond false notions, self righteousness,
Walk a path that is blessed,
You have more to harness,
Do you have some more to learn?
